Woodinville Fire & Rescue Celebrates Fire Prevention Week October 8-12
October 4th, 2012
by Katrina Brooke
It is important to have a home fire escape plan that prepares your family to think fast and get out quickly when the smoke alarm sounds. What if your first escape route is blocked by smoke or flames? That’s why having two ways out is such a key part of your plan. This year’s theme, “Have 2 Ways Out!”, focuses on the importance of fire escape planning and practice.
During the week of October 8, Woodinville Fire & Rescue will be conducting a number of events throughout the community to highlight the importance of fire safety.
- Monday, October 8 – $5 CPR/AED Class. 7 p.m. at Station 31. (Must reserve space in class by calling 425-483-2131. Class limit 24)
- Tuesday, October 9 – Look for our crews in front of local grocery stores in the afternoon. Stop by and say hi and receive home fire escape plan materials for the family.
- Wednesday, October 10 – Look for our crews in front of local grocery stores in the afternoon. Stop by and say hi and receive home fire escape plan materials for the family.
