…WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM PST THIS
AFTERNOON…

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS…AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO 3 INCHES OF SNOWFALL IS
EXPECTED THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON WITH THE BEST CHANCES FOR HIGHER
ACCUMULATIONS REMAINING ON HILLTOPS AND LESSER ACCUMULATIONS
EXPECTED NEAR WATER OR CLOSER TO SEA LEVEL.

* SOME AFFECTED LOCATIONS…SEATTLE…EVERETT…TACOMA…
BREMERTON…OLYMPIA…CHEHALIS AND MOST LOWLAND LOCATIONS EAST
AND SOUTHEAST OF PUGET SOUND.

* TIMING…SNOW SHOWERS ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE OFF AND ON
THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON.

* MAIN IMPACT…ROADS AND SIDEWALKS WILL BE SNOW COVERED AND VERY
SLIPPERY. TRAVEL WILL BE VERY DIFFICULT…ESPECIALLY DURING THE
MORNING COMMUTE. DELAYS MAY BE SIGNIFICANT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

THIS WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW MEANS SIGNIFICANT
SNOWFALL IS FORECAST THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL HAZARDOUS. IF YOU MUST
DRIVE ON SNOWY ROADS…KEEP SOME WARM CLOTHES…A FLASHLIGHT…
YOUR CELLPHONE…SNACKS AND WATER IN YOUR VEHICLE. AND ABOVE
ALL…SLOW DOWN.
