It’s a Great Time to Donate Those Older Toys
January 4th, 2012

The holidays are wrapping up, and chances are, your kids have a whole bunch of older toys they’re no longer interested in. By involving our kids in selecting and packing up the toys they’d like to donate, and taking the toys to a local church, synagogue, shelter, etc., we do good for the world and good for our kids. Get the process started in a brief and simple way:
You got some really nice things for Christmas this year, sweetie. How nice! Do you know there are a lot of kids who aren’t so lucky? Let’s pick some of your old toys and give them to kids who don’t have any.
Some children suddenly want to keep ALL their old toys when they hear this. Just reassure them that you won’t be taking the toys they love and play with the most…only the ones that gather dust.
It never hurts to add one more thing:
I have some things that I don’t use anymore, so I’m going to give them away, too.
Thanks for reading! Our goal is to help as many families as possible.
