At The Shyne School we offer Childcare from one to 6 years of age, with four classrooms and four outside play yards. We offer tours and enroll year-round if we have an opening in a class. We do open tours January/February and start accepting Pre-registration forms for same year enrollment. When we are full, we do not offer tours. Once we have an opening, I will call from the waiting list and set up an individual tour, by appointment. We pause the waiting list January to March 15th for new enrollment. Once a family has toured, they can decide if they wish to proceed with registration. You can view our openings on the enrollment page. We use the WA school cutoff date of 8/31 for our classes. You can see how to get on the waiting list on the Registration page.
In December I start scheduling Open Tours for January and February, Monday to Friday at 10:00 or 11:00 AM by appointment. Please limit the number of people attending the tour and please reschedule if ill. We will visit the classroom and chat about the program in my office. We do not play in the classrooms on tours, we can stop on the play yard and play. Before a student starts, we set up transition visits for parents and students. See our Full Registration Packet on the Registration page for more information on transition visits.
We offer individualized tours by appointment only for the class with openings March to December. Please view the enrollment page to see which classes have current openings. I do not start waiting lists for the next year until we are fully enrolled after we have final numbers March 1 to 15th. Our first class is Waddler, Dewdrops for 1 year by August 31st and walking - I will have 10 fall openings and a few summer openings.
You can view the Registration page for steps to register or get on the current year's waiting list. I do not have waiting lists for additional years but once on the waiting list you keep your place until I can get your child a spot, the list will age up. I carry the waiting list over to the next year.
